Welcome
In 'Time for a Story,' eight novels by New Zealand author, Greg Billington are featured:
'The Ghost in the Aspens,' set in Northumberland, 'She Sings,' and 'The Lavender Man' situated in Cambodia, Italy and France, are about love and in the case of the latter - redemption too; 'The Trials of Max Pipe' explores, in a surreal fashion, conflicted personality – a theme extended into the Italian Campaign of the Second World War in the very 'New Zealand' story, 'Songs of the Other Man.' The rich seam of eccentric behaviour characteristic of small-town New Zealand politics, is parodied in 'Vote Dimple Potts,' and extended in 'The Moon will Pay' - a parody of international politics and entrepreneurship. And how we are as Maori and pakeha together, along with the perennially challenging relationship between fathers and sons, is at the core of ‘Oystercatcher.’
